Edwards Coaches of Pontypridd have recently concluded the purchase of the 44 bedroom Portbyhan Hotel in Looe in Cornwall. Sitting in a prime location on the quayside overlooking the harbour in West Looe, the hotel is the first venture into hotel ownership in their 88 year history. Well known to many coach tour operators, the Portbyhan suffered some setbacks in recent years and entered into liquidation in 2012 although it continued to trade throughout these problems.
Commercial Director Jason Edwards is excited by the new challenge and points out that the hotel's enviable location provides great potential for year round business.
Edwards have appointed former Hilton Worldwide Sales Manager Ann Lines to be their own Sales and Marketing Manager and both the General Manager Brendan Cavanagh and Head Chef Craig Frost have also been retained.
With British 'staycations' undergoing a resurgence this year with this beautiful weather, we wishe Edwards Coaches every success with this exciting new venture.
