Ian Luckett
Lucketts Travel
Director

Ian joined the family coach business in 1985 shortly after leaving college. At the time the business had around 12 coaches and 2 HGV's. Working with his father, David and bother Steve, the business has expanded over the years and today comprises over 90 vehicles and employs over 200 staff. The business consists of four operating companies, H. Luckett & Co Ltd and Lucketts Travel Ltd in Fareham, Worthing Coaches Ltd in Worthing and Coliseum Coaches Ltd in Southampton. The group turnover is in the region of £20m. which is planned to increase to £21m in the next 12 months. This is derived from a variety of sources, all related to passenger travel, including private hire, school and commercial contract work, holiday and excursions and scheduled services operated on behalf of National Express.

Ian is joint Managing Director along with his brother Steve, and the business is operated on a day to day basis by the experienced team of managers and co-directors. David Luckett is the company Chairman and still plays an active part in the management of the business. Ian has been Chairman of the Guild of British Coach Operators and sits on the board of directors of the industry's main trade body, the Confederation of Passenger Transport.

Ian is married to Julie and they have three children, Hannah, Will and Beth.
