HIGH SPECIFICATION PROFILE FOR JONES LOGIN
'
West Wales operator Jones Login has taken delivery of a new Plaxton Profile bodied Alexander-Dennis Javelin which they have specified to a high standard, providing flexibility of use across the company’s quality activities. Managing Director Endaf Jones considers the new vehicle ideal for the company’s requirements, ‘We are glad that Alexander-Dennis are continuing to build the Javelin chassis. There is a definite market for it and matched to the Plaxton Profile body, it is very good for our purposes. Our customers are already appreciating the easy access and good legroom of our latest Profile whilst we benefit from the very good back-up service Plaxton provide.’

The Jones Login Profile features 49 Esteban Irati reclining seats with three point seat belts, Thermo-King air conditioning, carpets, curtains and reading lights in a predominantly maroon trimmed interior. Before delivery, Plaxton arranged for Bradtech to install a floor mounted WC at the rear. A courier seat is available and entertainment is offered by a CD player with radio and PA system. Externally the coach is finished in Jones Login executive livery of white with wavy turquoise and midnight blue relief featuring the company name in very prominent scroll lettering.
A further eight seats have been delivered with the vehicle for up-seating to 57 in years to come as the vehicle is cascaded to purely School Contract and local Private Hire duties.

The Plaxton Profile body is mounted on the Alexander-Dennis Javelin chassis with Cummins ISBe Euro 3 5.9 litre turbocharged engine developing 275bhp, ZF 5HP502 automatic gearbox and digital tachograph. It will be used across the whole range of activities undertaken by Jones Login, mainly on school contracts during the week and the company’s day excursion programme at other times. The high specification and good legroom means that the coach is also suitable for relief duties on the Jones Login branded extended tours.

Jones Login was founded by Endaf’s father Arwel Jones in 1965 although the family involvement in coach operation goes back to Endaf’s grandfather Idwal Jones who became a partner in Thomas and Jones Clunderwen Ltd in 1945. The company operates from modern premises in the village of Login north of Whitland offering a range of services from school contracts to worldwide extended tours.

A strong commitment to quality and customer service is core to the company’s values, enhanced by the operation of quality Plaxton products and reflected in the award of the Coach Marque standard in 1999. Plaxton products feature strongly in the company’s current 18 vehicle fleet, the new Profile joining eight earlier Premieres and Profiles, a Paragon, a Panther, and a Cheetah.
