Ulsterbus Tours is the luxury coach wing of Ulsterbus Ltd – the state owned company responsible for the majority of public transport in Northern Ireland operating under the “translink” brand name. Ulsterbus has been operating coach tours since it was formed on 17th April 1967. In its earlier incarnations, the company has been running coach tours back as far as between the 1st and 2nd world wars.

Today, Ulsterbus Tours is mainly engaged in coach touring holidays within Ireland,  the UK and mainland Europe – all for a range of durations and prices. These are complemented by our other services: Coach Hire, Day Tours, Educational Tours and a Cross Channel Express network linking Belfast with Glasgow, Edinburgh, Manchester, Birmingham and London.

Ulsterbus Tours has long been the market leader in Northern Ireland and is recognised by the coach industry and customers, winning many prestigious awards in recent years for the quality of its operations.

Ulsterbus Tours employs a peak workforce of over 60 staff and has a dedicated fleet of 31 coaches. It operates from the Europa Buscentre in Belfast, with a small operations base in Stranaer in Scotland which is mainly for Cross Channel Express work and some local coach hire business.

On average, 630 tours are operated each year carrying almost 25,500 customers across Ireland, the UK and Europe. The Cross Channel Express service carries around 100,000 per year and the Coach Hire department provides over 3,500 hires annually.

Ulsterbus Tours also arranges, on your behalf, all inclusive packages that can include extras such as hotel accommodation, meals, ferry crossings and visits to tourist attractions.
